This is to be a record of things I’ve made.

I am a blacksmith. I am a wood-turner. I am a welder. I am a carpenter. I am a maker. I am a designer. I am a repurposer. I think, therefore I DIY.

From 2009 to 2010 the making happened at the Hampshire College Lemelson Center. From 2012 on it’s happening at Artisan’s Asylum, Somerville MA USA.

I am predominately self-taught. This doesn’t stop me from teaching.

My smithing is predominantly wrought iron finished in yellow beeswax. My woodturning is green wood or scrap, finished in raw tung oil dissolved in red gum turpentine, and lacquered (if at all) in flake shellac dissolved in alcohol.

Somewhere between Myst and Riven there is an age for me.
